Thank God for Bíó Paradís! It’s a welcomed addition to the otherwise monotonous cinema offer in Reykjavík.
And also thank God for Græna ljósið that gives me two for one on movies every once in a while!
I’ve recently seen two pretty good “alternative” movies. Yesterday, I saw Boy, a funny movie from New Zealand, about family, being a kid, facing difficulties from the past and Michael Jackson. And boy, you gotta love that accent. Here’s a trailer:
Last weekend I saw A Woman, a Gun and a Noodle Shop – a Chinese remake of the Coen brothers’ Blood Simple. It was refreshingly different and a good laugh.
I’m now looking forward to seeing a documentary about a German woman who gave up using money 14 years ago. On top of sounding interesting, the entry is free! It’s on Tuesday and it’s called Living Without Money.
