I have recently purchased to beautiful tickets. One is a ticket to a concert with a wonderful singer, Norah Jones, which will play here in Iceland on the 2nd of September. I have decided that concerts are events that I’m not going to let get away, if it’s an artist I really appreciate, even if they are expensive. In some time, say 5 years, what am I going to remember, a few thousand krónur, or a good musical evening? The answer is the concert. Money is easily forgotten. So I’m not letting Norah Jones get away this time.

The other ticket is a plane ticket to Paris, France on the 4th of September. That day I will leave for Strasbourg and spend there at least 9 months.

In other news: I just came back from a weekend out of town with the cool folks in AUS, my volunteer organization. We had a conference for volunteers ending their year long stay in Iceland, others coming back after volunteering abroad and yet more that are about to go spend several months far away. It was very fun, but hard work as well, seeing as I was pretty much in charge of the thing, with some other good people.

Now: A couple of tortillas, rice and early to bed. Work at 6:30 tomorrow morning!
